Roby Rogers School of Dancing is passionate about doing great things in our community and this year, for the third year in a row, we entered a team in the Mackay Relay for Life to help make a difference to fight back against cancer. We had many excited dancers and families attend the weekend event, dressed in their impressive “Rock and Roll” attire, accessorized with glamorous gumboots as the weather didn’t play the part for the majority of the weekend. However, we pushed on and slushed around the muddy course, desperate to make a difference and fight back against cancer. We were privileged to be invited by Relay for Life Mackay to perform in the 2017 “Rock and Roll” Opening Ceremony. Dancers enjoyed learning and performing their much loved “Grease” routine. The audience were bopping and smiling as our dancers performed, the perfect start to a great weekend!

Relay for life is always a wonderful team building event for our RRSD family, filled with lots of fun, emotion and giving back in the fight against cancer.

We thank and congratulate the many RRSD families, who happily volunteered their time to take part in and perform at Relay for Life, representing Roby Rogers School of Dancing.

Roby Rogers School of Dancing were extremely honoured to be invited to perform as the Opening for the annual RACQ CQ Rescue Charity Ball 2017. In front of over 300 guests, Senior Dancers performed a Cabaret routine to fit the theme of “Great Gatsby, a night of Glitz, Glamour and Giving”. RRSD Dancers were outstanding, performing their theatre production to set the mood for this sensational event. This event was a highlight to the 2017 calendar.
