Contemporary dance allows students to become in contact with their body, mind and breath. At Roby Rogers School of Dancing we follow the Jason Winters Contemporary Syllabus introduced by the CSTD. This syllabus is specifically designed to challenge the student in different ways as to which tap, jazz and ballet do.
Contemporary is a connection between the mind and body encouraging students to explore emotions through a variety of exercise and choreography.
At Roby Rogers School of Dancing, we enter students from Foundation Level to Level Four Contemporary. The examination work is designed to allow students to develop balance, technical floor work and improvisational skills. This art form allows students to explore the possibilities of their body and mind in a positive and inspiring environment.
